2009 DINNER BANQUET & AWARDS CEREMONY The 2009 Hall of Heroes Banquet and Induction Ceremony was filled with tradition, celebration, and great fun. The event was once again sold out and a huge success. Those honored and welcomed to the Hall of Heroes Class of 2009 included The Fabulous Fargos, Playboy Gary Hart, Chief Wahoo McDaniel, Blackjack Mulligan, Nelson Royal, and Lance Russell. These legends were honored for their lifetime accomplishments at the third annual Hall of Heroes dinner banquet and awards ceremony Friday night, August 7 during the annual NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, North Carolina. Joining us that evening to honor the Class of 2009 were Brad Anderson, Tommy Angel, Tully Blanchard, Dave Brown, Ric Flair, David Isley, Jerry Jarrett, Paul Jones (Class of 2008), Steve Keirn, and Sir Oliver Humperdink. The event was hosted by Jim Cornette. For more information on each member of the Hall of Heroes Class of 2009, click on the links at right. The event took place Friday night, August 7 at the NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest Weekend at the Hilton University Place in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Some of the industry's greatest performers were also on hand for the 2009 banquet including Abdullah the Butcher, Ole Anderson, Baby Doll, Bob Caudle, Dennis Condrey, Chris Cruise, James J. Dillon, Bobby Fulton, Susan Green, Jimmy Hart, Danny Hodge, Mike Jackson, Don Kernodle, Wally Kernodle, Ivan Koloff, Rich Landrum, Mark Lewin, Bugsy McGraw, Judy Martin, Angelo Mosca, Angelo Mosca Jr., Harley Race, Tommy Rogers, Stu Schwartz, George South, Jimmy Valiant, Bonnie Watson, and Barry Windham.
