The year was 1974, the place was Charleston County Hall and for a 4 year old kid, life was about to change. It had been nearly a year prior to this that I had witnessed something amazing on channel 2 and channel 4 - - pro wrestling. And now the time had come that I would get to experience it live for the first time. It was on that night I would see these larger than life figures in person and for the last 40 years I don’t think I have ever woken up from the dream that came true all those years ago. In the pages of this book I will share how the lifelong passion of a kid from rural South Carolina became a truly special event in May of 1998. For those who were there it was an incredible weekend of events and for this fan it will be something I will treasure and forever be grateful for the wonderful memories and friendships that were started during that special weekend. Johnny Valentine, Thunderbolt Patterson, Ole Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Penny Banner, Sandy Scott, Tim Woods, Rip Hawk, Swede Hanson, Mae Young, The Fabulous Moohlah, Tommy Young, and many others legends of the ring all converged on Charleston. Relive these special moments! Includes a foreword by the Charleston Post & Courier’s longtime columnist Mike Mooneyham, plus dozens of photos and newspaper ads!
